Schools, Pre-Schools and Community Groups
Our 30-to-45-minute education sessions provide practical knowledge and skills around medication, day-to-day management of asthma and emergency response. Our sessions will help to improve the understanding of asthma, teach you how to recognise an asthma attack and how to respond to one with first aid. Health Professionals
We provide tailored, on-site education for rest-home, home-based support staff and other professionals and groups. These are presented in one-hour modules and cover Asthma, COPD, medications, devices and crisis management. We create these sessions specifically for your group. Asthma and COPD Fundamentals Masterclass
The Asthma+Respiratory Foundation New Zealand, in collaboration with Whitiea New Zealand, designed this course to upskill nurses around asthma and COPD self-management and education to their patients. CanBreathe are an approved provider for the Masterclass of this course.
The Masterclass
The Asthma and COPD Fundamentals Masterclass is a face-to-face one-day course that that puts learning into practice and supports practitioners to utilise a range of tools and resources with their patients. It is also available as a standalone refresher for health professionals who have completed the online fundamentals course or equivalent education in the past.
The next Masterclass will be held in 2024 - date to be confirmed.
